Pinzaara upset the hot favourite Albany Reunion in the Open 1400m sprint at Ellerslie. The mare recently served by champion sire Savabeel win was deserved as she had been badly checked at her previous start.

Silk Chardonnay completed a FLAIR double and recorded back to back wins with an impressive front running display in the stayers 2400m.
